We love films, we love the summer, we love free stuff and we love our park.

Films in Van Vorst was envisioned as a way to combine these elements and as a way to generate an environment where we could meet and strengthen our sense of community while finding new and imaginative ways to utilize of our beautiful park.

Our team is made up of volunteers and we are very grateful to the local businesses and neighborhood associations who have helped bring this event to fruition and to Jersey City’s Division of Cultural Affairs for all their help and support.

So come join us at the park this summer, leave your cell phones at home and make sure to bring a chair and a blanket. We hope you enjoy the show!

Hi, My wife and I love watching movies in Van Vorst Park as well as being in the park! In fact we love it so much that it is where I proposed to my wife in 2006! I would like to know if you can play the ABBA movie again. That was so much fun and everyone had such a great time.

    1. Hi Andre!!

We are so happy to hear how much you love Films in Van Vorst–and what a great romantic story about you and your wife! Congrats!
If you are not on our mailing list make sure to send us your email so you can keep up to date on our showings and fundraisers.
We agree Momma Mia was a super fun movie–but with so many great films to choose from we most likely won’t have an opportunity to
revisit it this season. But we do love musicals and may be able to include one in September if we raise enough funds.
We hope to see you this Wednesday!
