Summer 2006
Films in Van Vorst is happening again this year. This summer we will screen one movie every other Wednesday, beginning June 7th, for a total of eight movies. The city has already given us their thumbs up and have added us to their summer cultural calendar.
However, we are in need of more funds to run the project. We are looking for sponsors from the local business community who would like to help fund this initiative and for volunteers who might be interested in helping out in fundraising, graphic design (posters, cards), and audio-visual (setup/take-down).
Donations from individuals are also welcome. We are a non-profit organization and your contribution will be tax-exempt. All our team members work on a volunteer basis and the money collected all goes towards purchase and maintenance of equipment, publicity and movie rentals.

2005 Film Series
In the summer of 2005 Van Vorst Park , in downtown Jersey City, had its first free, outdoor film series. The series was made possible by the generous support of our sponsors: Goldman Sachs, Marco & Pepe, Beechwood Cafe, Bar Majestic, Del Forno Real Estate, Sullivan Financial, FastFrame, Van Vorst Park Neighborhood Association and Friends of Van Vorst Park.
